Corrigendum to “Analysis of Offensive Efficiency and Goal Scoring in the Stanley Cup Finals 2023 and 2024”

Abstract

The author wishes to correct an error in the published article. Description of the correction: On page 47, in Section 3.3 (the paragraph describing the Scoring method) the published text/value was: “The majority of goals (44%) were scored with a direct shot. The remaining goals were distributed as fol lows: 19% from a pass, 10% from a rebound, and 6% from a deflection.” The correct text/value should be: “The majority of goals (56%) were scored with a direct shot. The remaining goals were distributed as fol lows: 24% from a pass, 13% from a rebound, and 8% from a deflection.” This correction does not affect the results, interpretation, or conclusions of the article. The author apologises for the error.
