Focus and scope. Baltic Journal of Sport and Health Sciences publishes research articles in the following areas: Social Sciences (Physical Education, Sports Coaching, Sports Pedagogy, Sports Psychology, Sports Sociology, Research Methods in Sports, Sports Management, Recreation and Tourism), Biomedical and Health Sciences (Coaching Science, Sports Physiology, Motor Control and Learning, Sports Biochemistry, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Physical Activity and Health, Sports Biomechanics, Adapted Physical Activity) and Humanities (Sports History, Sports Philosophy, Sports Law, Sports Terminology). The issues contain editorials, reviews of recent advances, original scientific articles, case studies.
The journal is published four times a year (March, June, September and December).
Languages. The journal accepts articles in English.
Peer-review. All papers undergo the regular double-blind review process by at least two experts in the field selected by the Editorial Board.
Journal policy. The journal provides its policy, which include detailed information about submission, editorial and publishing processes, and guidelines for authors and reviewers. All parties are introduced with their rights and responsibilities to ensure smooth and ethical publishing process.
Fees and Charges. Our journal is committed to open science for everyone and strives to comply with Diamond Open Access Standard (DOAS) Guide for Journals. Therefore, the journal does not apply article processing charges (APCs), submission charges, publication charges, or any other charges to authors. Moreover, the journal’s content is open to all upon publication, with no access fees or any other fees.
Open Access policy. The journal is an open access journal. All content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission of the publisher or the author. Articles published in the journal are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. Further distribution of this work must maintain attribution to the author(s) and the published paper’s title, journal citation, and DOI.
Copyright. The authors agree to the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) agreement under which the paper in the Journal is licensed, and grants Lithuanian Sports University permission to publish the unpublished and original manuscript and all associated supplemental material. An author keeps all copyright rights.

History. Baltic Journal of Sport and Health Sciences ISSN 2351-6496, eISSN 2538-8347 has been published since 2014 (the former titles Ugdymas. Kūno kultūra. Sportas (Eng. Education. Physical training. Sport) ISSN 1392-5644, published since 1996, Kūno kultūra (Eng. Physical Training) ISSN 1392-1452, published since 1968). As of 2018, the journal is published exclusively online. Starting in 2025, conference materials related to the journal’s scope are published in supplementary issues.
